One month after.

My last 4 weeks of debilitative negligence has come to an end.  (Thanks to that entry in my diary!!)
yeay!!! moment.
The last 30 days isn't my proudest moment, but I needed some downtime from running.

...The laziness ends tonight.

Due to my hip surgery which is still on an uphill heal, I'm definitely sitting out next month's Mizuno Infinity Run, but I'm hoping to start training shortly after. (Another yeay!!!)

I'm thinking of working on beating my own times for my 5K/10K.  New PRs for both categories.  Take it slow and go doubles on the bulalo!!!
Tomorrow morning I get my first monthly full body bone scan (1 of 3) and the day after, I get my thyroid tests done to see if it's a metabolic problem.
It's all uphill from there.

As I usher in the second month...
I plan to exercise my upper body and wait for the go-signal of my M.D. to engage in-
a.) non-weight bearing exercise to strengthen my thigh; and,
b.) floor exercises for my hip
I'm guessing my cardio is going to come froma lot of biking and swimming ( the latter of which I cannot yet do!).

Anything is a lot better than zero activity.  Hopefully the crutches will be reduced to a cane at some point in the next 30 days.
For nourishment, it's more protein and calcium.  Eggs, cheese, milk, yogurt drink, yogurt and yogurt pops.  More fruits and veggies.

For exercises, I tried doing ab exercises and I couldn't life my left leg...still.  All I could muster were crunches and an upper body set.  A bit frustrating but patience is something to be learned!  There's still pain now and then.  But bearable and I'm getting better.
Onwards and upwards!!!
