I had my bone scan today at 7am. I was in St. Luke's and they injected some nuclear liquid into me. I was told to drink a lot of liquids (normal kind like water...) and stay away from kids under 10. The Radioactive Sadrina Project for the day, after all!) And three hours of staying in the hospital cafeteria updating myself of the Oscar wins via the net (Just really rooting for Sandra in "The Blind Side") after I found myself inside this contraption for some serious bone scanning. This is quite frankly the closest thing to a spaceship (ok, rocketship since it is but tiny...) that I've been in.
The experience wasn't painful save for the leg-numbing I get when my injured appendage stays in one position for an extended period of time.
The nuclear liquid I took in is supposed to reveal the osteoblasts I have in my body. And of course, it would be on my left thigh.
THIS IS STEP TWO TO BIONIC WOMANHOOD. (Refer to an ealier post entitled 'picture is worth a thousand words' for STEP ONE.)
